## Description

Your sales team should not have to work inside WordPress admin.

OrderCRM for WooCommerce gives sales managers a dedicated frontend workspace to
process orders, manage customers, and review sales activity—while WooCommerce remains
the order engine behind the scenes.

If your store receives dozens or hundreds of WooCommerce orders every month, the
default WooCommerce admin often becomes slow to navigate for everyday sales work.
Managers need orders, customers, and status updates—not themes, plugins, or site
settings.

OrderCRM replaces that daily friction with a focused interface for sales operations:

 * No unnecessary WordPress menus
 * No need to grant full wp-admin access for routine order work
 * One place to find orders, update statuses, leave notes, and check reports

Whether you process a few dozen or several thousand WooCommerce orders every month,
OrderCRM helps your sales team stay organized as the store grows.

#### Common Challenges

WooCommerce works well for many stores. As order volume grows, sales teams often
face new operational challenges:

 * Managers need access to orders but should not access WordPress settings or site
   configuration
 * Finding a customer, phone number, or order across multiple admin screens slows
   daily work
 * Large order lists become harder to navigate for routine processing
 * Sales managers need period reports without jumping between several WooCommerce
   screens
 * Store owners want clearer visibility into who changed an order and what happened
   next

OrderCRM addresses these challenges with a dedicated frontend workspace focused
on everyday sales operations.

#### Why OrderCRM?

OrderCRM is not another heavyweight CRM platform.

It is a lightweight sales workspace built specifically for WooCommerce:

 * Keep managers focused on orders and customers instead of the WordPress dashboard
 * Give each CRM user only the screens and actions they need
 * Reduce accidental changes to the website during day-to-day order work
 * Keep WooCommerce as the source of truth for orders, products, and customers
 * Help new staff start working with less training on wp-admin navigation

Instead of forcing your team to work inside wp-admin for every order, give them
a workspace designed for sales processing.

#### Key Features

### Dedicated Sales Workspace

Provide sales managers with a frontend interface for WooCommerce order processing
without granting access to the WordPress administration area.

### Order Processing in One Place

View, filter, and update orders from the CRM dashboard. Change statuses, apply discounts,
add notes, and keep order work in a single workflow.

### Find Orders and Customers Quickly

Search by customer name, phone number, email, order number, or status. Filter by
date range and workflow groups to locate the right order without long scrolling.

### Customer Profiles

Open customer information linked to WooCommerce orders so managers can review contact
details and order history in context.

### Sales Reports

Review revenue and order trends by day, month, quarter, or year. See top products
and categories, Business Process Metrics (AOT / AOV / RPR, orders by device and
origin), optional brand statistics, and outstanding in-progress orders outside the
selected period (“Tails”). PDF export is available when the build and server extensions
support it.

### Team Permissions

Assign CRM roles so each employee sees only the tools required for their work. Store
owners keep WordPress admin; sales staff work in the CRM interface.

### Activity Visibility

Review manager actions in the activity log to understand who changed an order and
when.

### Built for WooCommerce

Uses WooCommerce as the order backend, including High-Performance Order Storage (
HPOS) support. Works with common extensions such as Advanced Shipment Tracking and
popular invoice plugins. Customers can receive email when a manager updates order
status; invoice files can optionally be emailed from the order card.

#### Who Is It For?

OrderCRM is a good fit for:

 * WooCommerce stores with dedicated sales managers
 * Customer support teams that process orders daily
 * Wholesale and B2B WooCommerce businesses
 * Growing stores where wp-admin access for every manager is unnecessary or undesirable

It may be less useful for single-owner shops that already process a small number
of orders comfortably inside WooCommerce admin.

#### Default WooCommerce Admin vs OrderCRM

 * **Daily order work:** WordPress admin screens dedicated frontend sales workspace
 * **Staff access:** often broad wp-admin capabilities sales-focused CRM permissions
 * **Navigation:** multiple WooCommerce/admin pages orders, customers, products,
and reports in one CRM interface
 * **Risk of site changes:** managers inside wp-admin managers stay in the sales
   workspace
 * **Purpose:** generic store backend interface shaped for order processing

#### Compatibility

 * WordPress 5.6 or higher
 * WooCommerce 5.0 or higher
 * PHP 8.0 or higher
 * High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS)
 * Custom order statuses (including statuses added by other plugins)
 * Multilingual sites: the plugin is translation-ready (including Russian)

#### Recommended Plugins

For fuller order operations, these plugins work well alongside OrderCRM:

 * **Advanced Shipment Tracking (Free)** — tracking number management
 * **WooCommerce PDF Invoices & Packing Slips** — invoice generation
 * **Order Status Manager for WooCommerce (paid)** — lets you create custom order
statuses and pick a color and an icon for each. When it is active, OrderCRM automatically
uses that color as the background of the status badge and shows the icon next
to the order total in its order lists. Optional: custom statuses already work
in OrderCRM without it, just without the per-status color and icon.

## Installation

 1. Upload the plugin files to the `/wp-content/plugins/ordercrm-for-woocommerce` directory,
or install the plugin through the WordPress admin Plugins screen.
 2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu in WordPress. PHP extensions **GD**
and **mbstring** are required; activation stops with a clear message if they are
    missing.
 3. Open **OrderCRM** in the WordPress admin to configure settings.
 4. Set up order status groups in the **Statuses** tab and assign CRM access to your
    sales users.
 5. Open the CRM frontend workspace and confirm that managers can process orders without
    using wp-admin for daily work.

Typical ZIP installs include the plugin’s PHP dependencies under `vendor/` where
applicable. No separate server-side `composer install` is required for a standard
install.

## FAQ

### Does OrderCRM replace WooCommerce?

No. OrderCRM works on top of WooCommerce. WooCommerce remains the commerce engine
for products, carts, checkout, and order storage. OrderCRM provides a frontend workspace
for sales operations.

### Can my managers work without WordPress admin access?

Yes. Sales managers can process orders in the OrderCRM frontend interface. Store
owners and administrators continue to use WordPress admin for site and plugin configuration.

### Is High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS) supported?

Yes. OrderCRM is built to work with WooCommerce HPOS.

### Does this plugin work with custom order statuses?

Yes. OrderCRM works with custom order statuses, including statuses created by other
plugins such as Advanced Shipment Tracking. Map statuses into workflow groups (In
Progress, Completed, Cancelled) in OrderCRM settings.

If the paid **Order Status Manager for WooCommerce** plugin is active, the color
and icon set for a custom status there are applied automatically in the OrderCRM
order lists — the color as the status badge background, the icon next to the order
total. This plugin is optional; custom statuses work without it.

### How do I configure order status groups?

Go to OrderCRM Settings Statuses in your WordPress admin. Organize statuses into
three groups: In Progress, Completed, and Cancelled.

### Can I restrict what each manager can see or do?

Yes. Assign CRM roles and permissions so each user sees only the screens and actions
they need.

### Can multiple managers use OrderCRM at the same time?

Yes. Multiple CRM users can work in the frontend workspace concurrently. Order data
remains in WooCommerce.

### Can I create orders from OrderCRM?

Yes. Managers with the appropriate permissions can create orders from the CRM dashboard.

### Can managers leave customer notes and order notes?

Yes. Notes are part of the order workflow in the CRM interface.

### Does OrderCRM support discounts on orders?

Yes. Managers can apply discounts where permitted by your CRM permissions and store
setup.

### Are sales reports included?

Yes. Reports cover revenue and order trends by period, product demand summaries,
and related statistics. A “Tails” section lists outstanding in-progress orders outside
the selected report period.

### Can I export reports to PDF?

When PDF export is available in your installed build and the server has the required
PHP extensions (GD and mbstring), reports can be exported for the selected period.
The PDF is generated on demand and is not stored as a public file in the media library
or uploads folder.

### Is report PDF stored on the server in uploads?

No. The PDF is generated on demand and sent in the response only; it is not saved
as a public file in uploads, which helps reduce exposure of commercial data.

### Will updating the plugin affect my existing orders?

No. Updates are designed to preserve existing WooCommerce orders. Status mapping
uses the plugin’s update routines without deleting order data.

### Is OrderCRM suitable for wholesale or B2B stores?

Yes, when your team processes WooCommerce orders regularly and needs a focused sales
workspace. OrderCRM does not replace a full B2B suite; it focuses on order and customer
operations around WooCommerce.

### Does it work with multilingual websites?

The plugin is translation-ready and ships with a Russian translation. Compatibility
with multilingual plugins depends on your site setup; use the WordPress.org support
forum if you need help with a specific configuration.

### What are the system requirements?

 * WordPress 5.6 or higher
 * WooCommerce 5.0 or higher
 * PHP 8.0 or higher
 * PHP extensions GD and mbstring (required for PDF export where available)

### Is this plugin compatible with other WooCommerce plugins?

OrderCRM is designed to work alongside common WooCommerce extensions. Compatibility
with a specific third-party plugin depends on how that plugin modifies orders, statuses,
or admin flows. Recommended companions include Advanced Shipment Tracking, WooCommerce
PDF Invoices & Packing Slips, and Order Status Manager for WooCommerce (used for
custom status colors and icons). None of them are required.

## Changelog

#### 3.4.5

 * **Settings screens rebuilt internally:** Roles, Users, General and Order Blocking
now share one save flow with a confirmation message after each save — refreshing
the page no longer prompts to resubmit the form.
 * **Fix — Order Blocking cleared saved statuses and exempt roles:** saving the
Order Blocking screen while the toggle was off wiped the previously selected
statuses and exempt roles; they’re now preserved until the toggle is turned back
   on.
 * **Fix — logout recorded twice in the activity log.**
 * **Fix — pagination did nothing past page 1** on Logs, Customers, Customer profile
and Products in the CRM dashboard when the site uses pretty permalinks.
 * **Fix — could not remove all product-category restrictions for a user** in Settings
   Products.
 * **Fix — plugin description was not translated** on the Plugins screen.

#### 3.4.4

 * **Fix — cannot grant CRM access to a new user:** in OrderCRM Users, ticking **
CRM Access** for a user who never had it saved with a success notice but did
not persist, so the user was still denied entry. Users who already had an access
   record were unaffected.
 * **Fix — product search did not work in some browsers:** the “Add product” autocomplete
in an order returned nothing in browsers that send an Origin header on same-origin
requests (e.g. Firefox) when the site is opened over a different scheme than
its configured address (HTTP test/staging of an HTTPS site). Same-origin requests
over http/https of the same host are now accepted; other origins are still blocked.
 * **Fix — product search for order editors:** a role that can edit orders (and
sees the “Add product” form) can now use the product search, without needing
   a separate catalog permission.

#### 3.4.3

 * **Order Status Manager colors and icons:** when the Order Status Manager for
WooCommerce plugin is active, the color and icon chosen for a custom order status
are now applied automatically in the OrderCRM order lists — the color as the
status badge background, the icon next to the order total. Core WooCommerce statuses
are unchanged; the plugin is optional.
 * **Fix — dashboard statistics stale after a status change:** the monthly Revenue/
In progress / Cancelled cards now refresh on the next dashboard load after an
order status changes, instead of waiting for the cache to expire.

#### 3.4.2

 * **Roles — cancel order status:** new capability to set the Cancelled (wc-cancelled)
status in the CRM dashboard, independent of Edit orders.
 * **Order Blocking:** status changes are locked when an order is in a blocked status(
   except administrators and exempt roles).

#### 3.4.1

 * **Follow-up review email:** optional thank-you email after an order enters the
Completed status group, with on-site and optional external review links (OrderCRM
settings tab); test send to the site administrator.
 * **Fix — duplicate completed emails:** changing status to Completed from a custom
status no longer sends the WooCommerce “order completed” email twice.

#### 3.4.0

 * **Hotfix — invoice email:** removed leftover internal debug label from the customer“
   invoice attached” email body.

#### 3.3.9

 * **Reports — Business Metrics:** Orders by Device (grouped bar: total vs completed
   conversions) and Orders by Origin (pie, last-click attribution, TOP-5 + Other);
PDF page breaks before Business Metrics, selected brands, and Tails.

#### 3.3.8

 * **Reports — Business Metrics:** new AOT / AOV / RPR cards for the selected period(
completed orders only), with tooltips and PDF export.

#### 3.3.7

 * **Orders — email attached invoice:** optional checkbox when uploading an invoice
file to email the attachment to the customer (WooCommerce transactional email).
 * **Orders — invoice indicator:** paperclip icon in order lists when an invoice
file is attached (between Status and Tracking Number; no column title).
 * **Products — filters layout:** fixed search/filter bar overflow that caused horizontal
   scrolling on the products list.

#### 3.3.6

 * **Dashboard — sales dynamics:** KPI cards show % change vs the previous month
for Revenue and Cancelled (In Progress has no trend line); first card renamed
   to Revenue.

#### 3.3.5

 * **Reports — Tails:** list outstanding orders in “In progress” statuses that fall
outside the selected report period (full list on screen and in PDF).

#### 3.3.4

 * **Official launch** on WordPress.org.
 * **Storefront sales dashboard** — view, filter, and search orders; manage customer
profiles; browse the product catalog. No wp-admin access required for your sales
   team.
 * **Reports** — sales charts by day, month, quarter, or year; TOP products and
categories; optional statistics for selected brands; PDF export for any period.
 * **Orders in CRM** — create orders from the dashboard, apply discounts, leave
notes, map WooCommerce statuses to your workflow groups, and review manager actions
   in the activity log.
 * **Team permissions** — assign CRM roles so each user sees only the screens and
   actions they need.
 * **WooCommerce-ready** — HPOS support; works with Advanced Shipment Tracking and
popular invoice plugins; customers receive email when a manager updates order
   status.
 * **Requirements** — WooCommerce 5.0+, PHP 8.0+ (GD and mbstring for PDF export);
   tested with WordPress 7.0.
