Profile Lab gives you a simple, secure way to modify WordPress usernames and display
names without touching the database or writing custom code.
 By default, WordPress
does not allow usernames to be changed, causing problems for membership sites, client

 * Upload the plugin to /wp-content/plugins/profile-lab or install it via the Plugin
   Directory.
 * Activate it from the Plugins menu.
 * Configure options under User Profile Customizer in your dashboard.
 * Connect your external or custom form (see documentation).

### Can users really change their usernames?

Yes — this plugin adds safe username editing, something WordPress does not allow
by default.

### Does it work with frontend form builders?

Yes. You can integrate it with custom forms or third-party form plugins.

### Is it safe to allow username updates?

Absolutely. All updates are validated and use WordPress’s native user API.

### Will changing usernames break the user’s account?
