What the service is used for
The WinCarts API (https://app.wincarts.com) handles:
* Storing and tracking abandoned cart data
* Sending SMS cart recovery messages to customers who have consented
* Managing popup settings and customization
What data is sent and when
- Cart data: When a customer adds items to their cart, the cart contents (products, quantities, values) and session ID are sent to track the cart.
- Customer contact information: When a customer provides SMS consent (via checkout checkbox or exit intent popup), their phone number, name, email, timezone, and consent timestamp are sent.
- Store credentials: During initial setup, WooCommerce API keys are securely transmitted to enable order synchronization.
Data is only sent when:
1. The store owner has connected their WinCarts account
2. Customers have provided explicit SMS consent (for contact information)
