MioGuard for Contact Form 7<\/strong> is a lightweight and easy-to-use plugin that protects Contact Form 7 forms from spam and bot submissions using an IP-based rate limit and a customizable honeypot field.<\/p>\n\n

This plugin is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Contact Form 7 team<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Key features:<\/strong>\n- Rate-limit form submissions by IP (configurable from the admin panel; default 5 minutes)\n- Customizable honeypot field to catch bots\n- Optional \"Protected by CF7 Simple Guard\" badge\n- Fully localized (English + Italian included)\n- No extra database tables, uses WordPress transients with automatic expiration\n- Works with Contact Form 7 forms using Gutenberg or Classic editor\n- Compatible with WordPress 6.0+ and PHP 7.4+<\/p>\n\n

How it works:<\/strong>\n- The plugin blocks repeat submissions from the same IP within the configured interval.\n- The honeypot field prevents automated bots from sending forms.\n- Optionally, you can show a small badge at the end of the form to indicate protection.<\/p>\n\n

Localization<\/strong>\n- English (en_US<\/code>) and Italian (it_IT<\/code>) included.\n- Other languages can be added via .po<\/code> \/ .mo<\/code> files in \/languages<\/code>.<\/p>\n\n\n

  1. Upload the mioguard-for-contact-form-7<\/code> folder to the \/wp-content\/plugins\/<\/code> directory<\/li>\n
  2. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress<\/li>\n

  3. Go to **Settings \u2192 MioGuard for Contact Form 7 ** to configure:<\/p>\n\n
