Discounts Mania Consultations adds a clean booking widget to any page. Clients choose a length, pick a day and time from the slots you have free, fill in a short form and get an instant confirmation email with a calendar file.
What you get
- A step-by-step booking widget: length, day and time, details, confirm. Add it with the
[dm_consultation]shortcode. - Your weekly hours, breaks between sessions, minimum notice, how far ahead people can book, and days off.
- Times shown in your site’s time zone, with the client’s own time zone shown when it differs.
- Instant confirmation emails with an “Add to calendar” file, plus a new-booking email to you.
- Reminder emails the day before and one hour before.
- Client self-service: change the time or cancel from the link in their email, within limits you set.
- A “My bookings” page with passwordless sign-in by email (
[dm_consultation_account]). - A bookings screen for you, with an activity log.
- No tracking and no external services. Everything stays on your site.
- Pages section in Settings: pick or create your booking page and “My bookings” page, and jump to the bookings dashboard.
Pro add-on (optional, separate plugin)
A separate add-on, Discounts Mania Consultations Pro, adds Paystack payments, automatic refunds, Google Meet and Zoom links, Google Calendar busy times, staff assignment with booking notes, bulk delete and Excel export of bookings. The free plugin is complete without it and none of its features are locked. The Settings page and Go Pro screen describe the add-on, with a link to get it.
How it works
- Install and activate the plugin.
- Create a page with the
[dm_consultation]shortcode and open it once. - Optionally create a “My bookings” page with
[dm_consultation_account]. - Set your hours and details under Consultations Settings.
For developers
Discounts Mania Consultations exposes actions and filters (for example dmcb_booking_confirmed, dmcb_busy_periods and dmcb_frontend_config) so other plugins can build on it.

Installation
- Upload the plugin folder to
/wp-content/plugins/, or install it from the Plugins screen. - Activate it.
- Add the
[dm_consultation]shortcode to a page. - Go to Consultations Settings to set your hours.
Emails are sent with wp_mail(). For reliable delivery, use an SMTP plugin.

Does it take payments or create Zoom or Google Meet links?

Not in this plugin. Bookings are confirmed straight away. You can add your own meeting details (a phone number, an address or a link) in Settings and they are included in emails and the calendar file. A separate add-on, Discounts Mania Consultations Pro, adds payments, refunds, Google Meet and Zoom links, staff assignment and notes, bulk delete, and Excel export. It is sold on the author’s website and is not required.

Where is my data stored?

In your own WordPress database. Booking and log tables are kept when you delete the plugin, unless you add
define( 'DMCB_DELETE_DATA', true );to wp-config.php first. -
Why aren’t reminders arriving on time?

Reminders run from WP-Cron, which runs when your site gets visitors. On a quiet site, set up a real server cron that requests
wp-cron.phpevery few minutes.
