Leenkat Author Autocomplete provides a searchable author autocomplete interface for both the WordPress Classic Editor and Block Editor (Gutenberg).
It is designed for editorial websites and other WordPress installations with many authors, editors, or eligible content users, where finding a specific author in the standard author interface can be inconvenient.
The plugin keeps WordPress’s native post author workflow while providing a faster author-selection interface.

Source Code
All JavaScript and CSS files distributed with this plugin are the human-readable source files used by the plugin. No minification, compilation, bundling, or build step is required to regenerate the distributed assets.

Installation
- Upload the plugin ZIP through Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, or upload the
leenkat-author-autocompletefolder to/wp-content/plugins/. - Activate Leenkat Author Autocomplete from the Plugins screen.
- Open a post or another supported post type.
- Use the Author interface to search for and select an eligible author.
- Save, update, or publish the content normally.
